FORT PIERRE — The Stanley County Commission is meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. Commissioners will meet in executive session for legal matters at five PM to start the meeting. Commissioners are expected to exit executive session around 5:30 PM when second and final reading will be given to an ordinance on medical cannabis establishment and first reading to a medical cannabis licensing ordinance. Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal will discuss with Commissioners facility fees, gutters on barns, panels and a fire marshal’s report. Highway Superintendent Lee Smith will discuss declaring a motor grader surplus and a G-I-S mapping system. At six PM, Commissioners will discuss the county’s five year highway and bridge improvement transportation plan and consider a contract for the county health nurse. Automatic budget supplements for the Fairgrounds and State’s Attorney and a tax notice memo are also on the agenda. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five PM.
