PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. More items are included on the consent calendar than the agenda tonight. The consent calendar includes minutes from the September 28th meeting, new hires in the water department and dispatch, two raffle requests; one for the Red Knights Motorcycle Club and the second for the Pierre/Fort Pierre Pheasants Forever, an appointment to the Arbor Board and the claims. Commissioners will consider a request to purchase two utility trucks for the Electric Department, two police vehicles, an animal control vehicle and bale bags for the Landfill. The Commission will consider an agreement for professional services with H-D-R Engineering for construction and demolition for a landfill expansion and will discuss a Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery fund grant award and budget supplement. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
