Capitals Ashton Lee is First Ever Commit to Jamestown Women’s Hockey

Ashton Lee, a senior at T.F. Riggs High School and a member of the Oahe Capitals, has become the first ever recruit and commit to go to the University of Jamestown to play Women’s Hockey.

Lee has spent the last two seasons playing both JV and varsity hockey on the boys team, but will return to the girls team for her senior looking to make a big impact for the Capitals this winter. The Jimmies have two men’s hockey teams but will be adding a girls team next year for the 2022-2023 season. Lee is the first, but one of three South Dakota hockey players to sign with the Jimmies. Kelsey Amick of Mitchell and Gabby Schroeder of Sioux Falls will join her on the inaugural team which can compete for a national championship in its first season.
