PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. A public hearing will start the meeting at 5:30 PM with a public hearing on the five year highway transportation plan. New Treasurer and Finance Officer Thomas Oliva will be sworn in and Commissioners will consider personnel items. The Commission will discuss a highway traffic safety grant and laundry at the Hughes County Jail. Commissioners will also consider employee flu shots, changes to the manual on personnel policy, approval of the claims and reports from liaisons and the County Manager.
