Pierre Volleyball Falls in Four Sets to O’Gorman for Second Loss

For only the second time all season, the Pierre Governors were put into the loss column as they fell in four sets to O’Gorman on the road, with final scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-23 and 25-20.

The Governors took the first set by three and led the majority of the third set, however they were unable to get the win after having its biggest lead 18-11. O’Gorman, even without, two of its top players in Bergen Reilly and Brogan Beck, still showed why they are one of the top teams in the state. Pierre’s only two losses (9-2) are against the top two teams in the state, Washington and now O’Gorman. The Knights improve to 12-2 on the season.

It’s a quick turnaround, as the Governors will have its homecoming game on Saturday at home against the Brandon Valley Lynx, one of the two teams to knock off O’Gorman this year. First serve is at 2:30 on Saturday with pregame coverage starting at 2:10 on KCCR, kccrradio.com and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
