The Pierre Volleyball team dropped the first set to the Rapid City Christian Lady Comets on the road, but steamrolled through the next three sets for its ninth win of the season on Tuesday.
The Governors took the match 21-25, 25-9, 25-13 and 25-14. After the first set win for the Lady Comets the momentum changed in the hands of the Governors who scored 15 straight points in the second set in the 16 point win. Pierre is now 9-1 on the season with O’Gorman looming on Thursday on the road. The Lady Knights were previously undefeated but dropped a couple of games last weekend at the Sanford Pentagon Tournament. Rapid City Christian has now lost five in a row and are 13-5 on the season.
