PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a four-item consent calendar to start the meeting. The calendar includes the claims, meeting minutes from the September 21st meeting, a raffle request filed by the Capital Area United Way and the hiring of a Park Superintendent. A public hearing will be held at 5:45 PM for the transfer of the Alley Exchange wine license from South Pierre Street to North Harrison Avenue. New business includes a request to discharge fireworks on Friday October 1st for the Riggs homecoming football game, a parking closure request on Ree Street on October 1st and the Commission will take up the Dwelling Rental Registration and Inspection program ordinance again. Commissioners will present any dialogue to conclude the meeting. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
