The Pierre Governors have had their best showing of the season on Saturday in Rapid City as both teams finished inside the top three with the dance team finishing in second place.
The Governors have continually moved up the ladder in the last several competitions, but none were as big as this one. Pierre was third place in Cheer with a 184.5 only behind Rapid City Central and Stevens for first place.
The Governor dance team took home second place with a score of 231.25, just two points behind Rapid City Central for first. Pierre finished in second in both the hip-hop and pom division only behind Central in both categories.
Pierre will be in Rapid City on Tuesday for the O’Gorman invitational.
