MURDO — The names of four people involved in a fatal head-on crash on Interstate 90 in Jones County have been released by the South Dakota Highway Patrol. The crash happened two miles west of Murdo last Thursday September 16th around 3:20 PM. A westbound Subaru left its lane of travel, crossed the median and struck an eastbound Hyundai. The driver of the Hyundai, 26 year-old Tatiana Letorre of Bucaramanga, Columbia was killed in the crash. Her passenger, 48 year-old Omaira Jacome also of Bucaramanga, Columbia suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a Rapid City hospital. The Subaru driver is 57 year-old Hailun Zhu of Wheeling, Illinois. Her passenger is 64 year-old Youfan Wang also of Wheeling, Illinois. Both suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre. All four were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Charges are pending against Zhu.
