The Pierre Governors as a team finished in third place in Watertown shooting a 321, just 10 strokes behind second place Harrisburg.
Nick Bothun had the best finish for the Governors tied for eighth place shooting a seven over, 79. However, he was 12 shots off the lead as Kaden Rylance was a remarkable five under par at 67. He won the event by five strokes over teammate Jake Olson, the only other player to not be over par, as he was even with a 72. Sawyer Sonnenschein and Jon Lyons both shot an eight over par at 80. Lincoln Houska was at 10 over, 82. Jack Bartlett and Luke Olsen didn’t figure into the scoring but shot an 82 and 88 for the Governors.
It’s quick work right back to Watertown on Saturday for the ESD match. It’s the final invite before the state tournament in Huron.
