PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A proclamation will be made in special business to start the meeting for Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar before moving on to regular new business items. The Commission will consider a request to have alcohol at the South Dakota Discovery Center as part of the Center’s Best for Last event and will discuss a street closure regarding the causeway and Poplar Avenue south of Missouri Avenue. Commissioners will consider a contract with Arkstart for services as an airport consultant, a request to purchase radio equipment and second reading of the 2022 budget appropriation ordinance. Before presenting dialogue to end the meeting Commissioners will get a quarterly financial report. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
