The Pierre Governors would route the Douglas Patriots on Friday night in Box Elder with a 43-0 shutout victory to improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Governors gave up a 43 yard rush on the first play of the game but only allowed 28 yards the rest of the game as they defense held the scoreless offense to another frustrating night as the Patriots went 0-5 through the air as well.
The Governors picked up all its scoring in the first half, outside a safety, as Lincoln Kienholz would finish the night with 188 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Jack Merkwan caught two touchdown passes while Cade Kaiser would add a grab and Brecken Krueger would make his first touchdown reception of 49 yards. Brock Moser scored his first touchdown of the season on a one yard run.
