The Pierre golf team had a seventh place finish, just 13 shots off the lead on Friday in Mitchell as they shot a 315 as a team.
Nick Bothun had a top five finish for Pierre as he was even on the day at a 72, finishing five shots behind Luke Honner from Lincoln at five under, 67. Bothun was tied for fourth with Jacob Stewart from O’Gorman. Jack Bartlett was second on the team for the Governors at 33, shooting an 80 while Lincoln Houska was a shot behind him at 81 and Sawyer Sonnenschein was at 82.
The Governors will next be in action on Tuesday as they travel to Watertown, the site of the ESD match this Saturday. The invite tees off at 10:00 AM.
