With two players out of the starting lineup the Sully Buttes Chargers had to rely on their bench, and it paid off with a three set win over Lyman in Presho Thursday night, by the final of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-23.
Service errors did in the Raiders with a total of nine to the Chargers three, but both teams had miss hits, and communication breakdowns in zone coverage.
Leading the way was junior Allyson Wittler, who ended the night with seven kills, while Lydia Hill added six. Fill in starters Saige Heath and Caitlyn Birney helped Sully Buttes cause by contributing aces in the service position. Sully Buttes now ups its record to 4-8.
For Lyman, now 1-11 on the year, Ellie Eriksen and Rachel Hoffer led in kill points.
