PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar before considering regular agenda items. The calendar includes minutes from the September 7th meeting, the claims and three raffle requests for the Knights of Columbus, Zonta Club of Pierre/Fort Pierre and the South Dakota Discovery Center for the Best for Last fundraiser. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:45 pm for the Dwelling Rental Registration and Inspection program and the Commission will consider a request to purchase a Caterpillar Wheel Tractor Scraper for the landfill. The Commission will consider a resolution of authorized signatory for a solid waste grant application, a renewal agreement with Oahe T-V and a request to surplus city property. The Pierre City Commission meets at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
