PIERRE — The Pierre School District is meeting tonight at the District Administration Building. The Board will consider approval of the agenda and a nine-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and any public comment will follow along with an update from the Riggs Student Senate. The Board will give first reading of a policy on the administration of medical cannabis to qualifying students and first reading to policy regarding the use of alcohol and other drugs by district employees. The Board will consider making a nomination to the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Delegate Assembly and will consider actions regarding additions to Buchanan Elementary School. Board members will also take action on cyber insurance, donations, surplus property and contract items. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
