Pierre Man Arrested For Fourth DUI After Attempting To Flee Traffic Stop

PIERRE — A Pierre man was arrested Saturday on ten charges after he tried to run from police as they tried to pull him over. Pierre Police Captain Bryan Walz says an officer attempted to pull over 26 year-old Warren Flood for driving without his headlights on around three AM Saturday morning on West Sioux Avenue. When the officer turned on his emergency lights, Flood fled. That caused a pursuit that ended when Flood crashed is car near the intersection of Missouri Avenue and Fort Street. Flood was taken into custody on a laundry list of charges including Failure to Maintain Insurance, Driving on a Suspended License, Reckless Driving, Unsafe Lane Change, Speeding, a Stop Sign Violation, Aggravated Eluding and a fourth offence D-U-I.
