In a log jam between fourth to eighth place, the Pierre Governors were seventh on Monday in Brookings finishing 18 shots behind Watertown. Pierre was just six shots from fourth place.
Luke Olson was the top finisher for the Governors, tied for ninth place with a five over par, 75. Jake Olson, from Watertown, finished in first with a 67. Jonathan Lyons was second on the team at an 80 along with Sawyer Sonnenschein. Jack Bartlett shot an 81 to round out the top four for the Governors.
Pierre will now be back in action in Mitchell on Friday with tee time at 10:30 AM. The ESD match is set for September 25 in Watertown.
