Stanley County Volleyball Hosts Phillip Thursday

The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will look to remain over .500 on Thursday as they welcome in the Phillip Lady Scotties.

The Lady Buffs are 3-2 on the season after losing its last two matches this past Saturday against Timber Lake and White River. For Phillip, the Lady Scotties are 3-0 to open up the season with wins against Dupree, Kadoka Area and the latest, Jones County on Tuesday. The Lady Scotties have lost just two sets in the three matches.

The Lady Buffs have a solid attack this season as four players have at least 30 kills with Jordyn Sosa leading with 48 through five matches. Fellow senior, Shaylee Tople is only four kills away from adding to the 30 kill total. It’s a dangerous attack for Stanley County with five different hitters that can grab points for Stanley County all set by junior Olivia Chase. The Lady Scotties use Copper and Dymond Lurz for their attack having a combined 82 kills between the senior and sophomore.

The JV matchup begins at 6:30 with the varsity match to follow at Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre.
