The Pierre Governor Volleyball team will be in a top five matchup on Tuesday as they take on the Mitchell Kernels on the road in an ESD clash.
The Governors have made quick work of its last two opponents winning in straight sets. The Governors haven’t lost a set in its last seven. Pierre is also 4-0 to open up the season and are at number two in seed points behind only Sioux Falls Washington.
The Kernels are at number five in seed points at 4-2 on the season, yet are on a two match losing streak. Mitchell fell to Lincoln to finish the Huron invite two weekends ago, and then were swept by Washington at home on Thursday. The Governors will look for the same result as Saturday with a team coming in after being swept.
