PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight due to the Labor Day holiday. Three public hearings will start the meeting. Second reading will be given to two medical cannabis ordinances and a public hearing will be given for the 2022 budget. New business for the Commission includes five planning and zoning items and the 2022 L-E-M-P-G state agreement. The Commission will get a small structure inventory proposal from Broz Engineering and will give first consideration to the Spring Creek Road speed limit ordinance. Commissioners will consider personnel items, jail malpractice insurance, the claims, reports and leave for the County Manager. The Commission will meet in executive session for three items.
