The Pierre Governor Soccer teams will be on the road once again as they play in Mitchell facing Kernels in a boys and girls doubleheader.
The Boys are 3-2-1 and will be looking for its first win since defeating Sturgis last Thursday. The Governor offense picked up three goals last game but the defense has allowed 10 in the last two matches. The Kernels are 0-3 to start the season and have yet to score a goal, being outscored 13-0. Mitchell is in last place in the AA standings.
The Governor girls have not allowed a goal in any of the five wins so far on the season with the record at 5-1. On Thursday, Pierre will be facing a team playing for the first time in 10 days. Mitchell won its first and only game so far back August 21, over Sturgis 3-0. The Kernels lost its previous two games being outscored 9-2.
