Despite Improvements, Charger Netters Fall in Three Sets to Miller

The Charger volleyball team played the Miller Rustlers Thursday night at the gym in Onida, and fell in three sets, by the finals of 25-11, 25-19 and 25-19.

The Chargers showed more team play, and offensive attack, and on defense, they positioned themselves better against the Rustlers serves and shots.  Still, when they got close, it was unforced errors that did the Chargers in, against a winless Miller squad.

Millers record was deceptive, as they fell to a couple of strong schools—the Winner Warriors –now 3-0, and the Aberdeen Roncallii Cavaliers, at 2-1.   The Rustlers moved into Class B this year, and are also in Region 2B, along with Sully Buttes, amongst others.

Next up for Sully Buttes is a home contest Tuesday against Ipswich, while the Rustlers will host the Warner Monarchs.
