Pierre Soccer Hosts Watertown

The Pierre Governor soccer teams will look to get back on the winning track on Tuesday as the Watertown Arrows will be in town.

The Governor boys fell to 3-2 after Aberdeen Central shutdown and shutout the Governor offense for the first time this year. But, as the Arrows come to town, it’s a quick opportunity to get the offense back on track. Watertown is 0-4-1 and sitting outside of the top 16 to get into the playoffs. Watertown has allowed 18 goals in five games but has scored eight goals to start the season. The Governors are averaging four goals a game with 20 to this point.

The girls game allowed its first goals of the season this past Saturday in a 4-0 loss, but they still sit in the number two spot in the AA standings, behind Aberdeen Central, its lone loss. The Arrows are 2-4 on the season and are stingy defensively even with the four losses, allowing just 10 goals in six games while scoring eight goals offensively.
