PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal building. Commissioners will share space with the Hughes County Commission for two items in a joint session. Up for consideration is a plat in the extra territorial area and a public hearing for a zoning ordinance on cannabis establishments in the extra territorial area. After consideration of a four-item consent calendar, public hearings will be held for a zoning ordinance on cannabis establishments at 5:30 and a transfer from East Wind to Quest Casino. New business includes an update on the wastewater plant redesign project and second reading of the licensing ordinance for cannabis establishments. The Commission will consider a bylaw revision for Business Improvement District number One and hear about 2021 Capital projects for the group. Budget presentations for next year’s city budget continue with presentations from Business Improvement District One, PEDCO, The Right Turn and PAWS Animal Shelter.
