The Pierre Governor volleyball team stays undefeated with two big wins out in Rapid City over the Weekend beating Stevens in five sets and Central in three straight sets.
Pierre opened up a 2-0 lead against Stevens winning the first two sets 25-17, 25-14 but then lost the next two sets 17-25 and 26-28. However, the fifth and deciding set, the Governors left no doubt who the winner was going to be with a 15-4 roll of the Raiders. A big win for a young team after being up 2-0 and having to win the fifth set.
On Saturday, Pierre used the moment from Friday night into the matchup against Central with a straight three set sweep of the Cobblers with scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-20. The Governors improved to 3-0 as a team and sit near the top of the AA standings.
