The Pierre Governors competed at the Huron Invite on Friday and the golfers finished fifth as a team.
Sawyer Sonnenschein paced the Governors finishing tied for 13th place shooting a four over par, 76. He finished just four shots off of fifth place. Luke Honner for Sioux Falls Lincoln and Jake Olson of Watertown tied for first at three under par, 69. Nick Bothun was one shot behind Sonnenschein with a 77 while Lincoln Houska had a 78. Luke Olson finished with an 81 to round out the top for the Governors. Pierre was 20 shots behind Sioux Falls Lincoln, the team winner on the day as they shot just four over as a team with a 292.
Pierre will be in Aberdeen next, on Tuesday, August 31st at Lee Park Golf Course. The invite tees off at 10:00 AM
