Jones County had to hold off the Sully Buttes Chargers in set one and four on Tuesday as the Coyotes picked up the season opener win with scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-13 and 26-24.
The Chargers didn’t go quietly in the first match of the season and could have easily flipped the game around losing two of three sets by just a combined four points. The Chargers will have a lot to build on as they take host the YTC Tournament this weekend played in Onida on Saturday. The Jones County Coyotes will host both Bison and Little Wound in a triangular beginning at noon on Saturday.
