PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A lighter agenda includes a three-item consent calendar that includes the claims, minutes from the August 17th meeting and setting a public hearing for August 31st at 5:45 pm. Commissioners will give introduction to two conditional use permit requests. One is for an address on North Euclid Avenue and the second is for a property at 422 South Chapelle. Public hearings will be set along with the conditional use permit introductions. First reading will be given to the rezoning of lot one in Schimkat’s first addition. A public hearing will be set for that item as well. That will be followed by another introduction for the plat of lot one-R in the Capitol Addition. Commissioners will wrap up the meeting with two budget presentations; Missouri Shores and PAWS Animal Rescue. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
