The Stanley County Buffaloes traveled to Timber Lake on Friday for the first game of the season and the result was not what they were hoping to get. It was a 40-0 win for the Panthers over the Buffs.
The Buffs offense couldn’t get going but the defense was holding strong through the first half. The Panthers led just 16-0 at the break keeping the Buffaloes within striking distance. However a 16 point third quarter starting with a Hank Kraft 70 yard touchdown run put the game out of reach as the Panthers added another score in the fourth quarter to close out the early season win.
The Buffaloes will play at Ole Williamson Field when they take on Parkston. Kick-off is at 7:00 in Ft. Pierre. Max Foth will join the first show on Coach’s Corner live from the Longbranch.
