PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a four item consent calendar before moving to a 5:45 pm public hearing for a conditional use permit for Dakota Storm Roofing. New business includes a change order on the skate park concrete project and an update on the Runway seven, two-five project at Pierre Regional Airport. First reading will be given to two ordinances tied to medical cannabis. The first reading will also include setting a public hearing date for zoning ordinances dealing with medical cannabis establishments. A third first reading will be given to a medical cannabis licensing ordinance. Commissioners will get an update on the city’s proposed dwelling rental registration and inspection program. The Commission will close out the meeting with 2022 budget presentations including the Community and Youth Involved Center in Fort Pierre, Pierre Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Chamber Community room and River Cities Transit.
