The Expedition League Championship series is set after the Spearfish Sasquatch and Souris Valley Sabre Dogs finished off their respective division series sweeps on Tuesday night.
The Sasquatch used an eighth inning rally to beat the Western Nebraska Pioneers scoring all three runs in the top half of the inning to win 3-1 over the Pioneers. A one out error for the Pioneers resulted in the tying run scoring before a single and sacrifice fly scored both the final two runs.
Souris Valley, on the other side, took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning in which the Badlands Big Sticks were unable to come back from in the 7-1 ballgame. The Sabre Dogs continue to show why they were the best team in the Lewis Division the entire season outscoring the Big Sticks 22-1 in the two game sweep.
The Sasquatch and Sabre Dogs will now meet in the championship series which is set to begin on Friday in Spearfish. The finals is also a three game series with the final two games to be played in Minot.
