PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is out of patience for a land owner who hasn’t completed building his house…after nearly three years. County officials issued a building permit for Bryan Eaton and his property on Cyrus Place on May 31st of 2018. Officials learned in March of last year Eaton was living in the house without a proper occupancy certificate. Planning and Zoning Director Eric Booth has tried to work with Eaton getting him extensions to finish house. Booth says he just wants to see the home completed. The Hughes County Commission is giving Eaton two weeks before the Commission’s next meeting to show significant effort to finish the home before action is taken.
