The Pierre Governors, heading into the 2021-2022 school year, will have a lot of turnover with coaches. Seven new coaches have been hired since the beginning of the summer as Athletic Director Brian Moser has been busy with each hiring.
Megan Bauck will be the girls tennis coach while Emily Williamson will be the boys coach. Matt Thorson is the first girls wrestling coach while Brianna Kusler is the first ever female to coach a AA boys basketball program. Tiffany Stoeser moves from her position as the JV volleyball coach to be the varsity coach. Kiera Swenson will be the new girls soccer coach and finally Manuel Manriquez will be the boys soccer coach. Moser says it’s never fun to replace a head coach, especially seven coaches…
Moser says, though, it’s exciting to see the direction these coaches take each program…
And Moser says it’s going to be an exciting year for Governor athletics…
Pierre’s first athletic competition for the 2021 school year will be a soccer doubleheader in Douglas on Friday, August 13.
