After three straight losses from the Pierre Trappers to the Mining City Tommyknockers, the Trappers beat Mining City 12-9.
The Trappers are now 5-16 on the season and the chance at the playoffs continue to drain away as Pierre is 10 games back of the division leading, Fremont Moo with just 14 games left to play. Pierre, though, will play nine of the 14 games at Hyde Stadium, but won’t be back until Wednesday to face the Western Nebraska Pioneers.
The Trappers open a quick two game series with the Spearfish Sasquatch on Monday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:35.
