A wild finish to the first game of the tournament for the Post 8 Jr. Legion was all they could muster for wins. The Eights would lose both Saturday and Sunday to be eliminated.
Cade Kaiser scored the winning run to beat Sioux Falls West on Friday night 4-3 on a wild pitch to send the fans at historic Hyde Stadium home happy. However, the Post 22 Bullets would put up 13 runs in the winner’s bracket semifinals winning 13-4 over Pierre and the Eights would then fall to Aberdeen in an elimination game, 9-1, as the season would end the year at 21-16.
The championship games are slated to begin at 1:00 at Hyde Stadium on Monday.
