The year-to-year growth is 274-million dollars or an increase of 15-point-seven-percent. The ten-year average for growth is four-point-six percent. That puts the growth as the largest in over 30 years. Sales and use tax grew 14-percent from last year is well over the 10-year average of five-percent. Duvall isn’t sure the state will see similar growth next year like it did this year…

The general fund revenue surplus was 62-million dollars while only 23-point-nine million dollars in expenses were utilized. Sales taxes grew 11-point-seven percent while Lottery growth was 27-percent and the Contractor’s Excise tax grew 16-point-eight percent.
