The Pierre Trappers begin the last few weeks of the regular season on Thursday on the road in Montana, taking on the Mining City Tommyknockers.
It’s the first time these two teams will have ever met in Expedition League history and the only series between the two teams this year. The Tommyknockers are 25-23 on the season in its first year of existence and 9-8 in the second half of the season and are only two games back of the Lewis Division. There are just 17 games left in the season and the Trappers are running out of time to make a move into the playoffs. They are just 5-12 and eight games back of the division lead. Time is not of the essence for the Trappers, looking for its first playoff berth in team history.
The opener of the four game series will begin at 8:05 Central Time out in Mining City. The Trappers won’t return home until Wednesday of next week.
