South Dakota United Sweeps Pool Play, in National Championship on Tuesday

The South Dakota United U15 Dynamo will play for the National Championship of the National Cup on Tuesday after going 3-0 in pool play over the weekend.

In game one of the tournament on Friday, the Dynamo blitzed Real Colorado with a 6-3 win. It’s the most goals in a tournament game as the offense was firing. The defense shutdown Houstonians FC on Saturday with a 3-0 shutout win to put the Dynamo at 2-0 and a point a way from clinching a spot in the championship game on Tuesday. The defense remained strong on Sunday winning 2-0 over Amarillo to clinch a spot in the title match. Deshani Peters of Aberdeen has been a machine scoring seven of the 11 goals including all three goals on Saturday and two goals on Sunday.

Head Coach of the Dynamo, Matt DeBoer says after the first game, he was happy with the win but didn’t like the amount of goals allowed…

Answering the bell they did. Posting back-to-back shutouts stemming from the defensive performances of the backline of the three Pierre Governors, Brianna Sargent, Ireland Templeton and Gracelyn Taylor…

The fourth member of the Dynamo from Pierre, Ryann Barry, has been very good facilitating the offense according to DeBoer…

And DeBoer lays out what the day off will look like on Monday…

South Dakota United will play Pittsburgh in the championship game on Tuesday with kick-off scheduled at 11:30 Central Time.
