Post 8 Routes Aberdeen in Final Tune-up Game for Playoffs

Pierre Post 8 finished the regular season on Wednesday with a big 11-1 win over the Aberdeen Smitty’s on the road to close the year at 22-17.

It was a single nine inning game, but the Eights made short work winning by the ten run rule after seven innings of play to finish the regular season with a win. Gary Nedved threw four innings allowing just one run on four hits and striking out three. Aaron Booth was dominant in his inning on the mound striking out all three hitters in order. Maguire Raske had a scoreless sixth inning as did Andy Gordon as the Eights pitching was dominate allowing a combined five hits and five walks while striking out seven. Seven hitters for the Eights each had an RBI as Isaac Polak, hitting half way through the game came through with 3 RBIs including a two RBI single. Nedved also had two RBIs each coming off a single as he went 2-2 at the plate.

Pierre finishes the regular season at 22-17 and will host Yankton on Friday in the best-of-three series with first pitch on Friday at 6:00 and pregame coverage at 5:40.
