Post 8 Finishes Season in Aberdeen

Post 8 Finishes Season in Aberdeen

Wednesday night, Pierre Post 8 will close out the regular season with a one, nine inning game on the road against Aberdeen looking to end a quick two game skid and get on the right track heading into the playoffs.

The Eights come in at 21-17 on the season and have lost five of the last seven eight of 12 dating back to the end of the Minot Tournament. Yet, Pierre is in a solid spot as they finished in fifth place in the legion standings to host Yankton, the 12 seed, in the region round this weekend. Wednesday, it will be the second time the Eights will play Aberdeen after walking off the Smittys at home earlier in the year.

Assistant Coach, Nathan Naasz says it will be a bullpen type game for the Eights to make sure pitching is available for the weekend…

Naasz says as the regular season ends today, it’s a chance for the offense to find a groove…

And Naasz says while this game isn’t significant overall for the win-loss column, the mindset needs to be flipped to playoff mode…

Coverage will start at 5:40 tonight with first pitch at 6:00 on KCCR, kccrradio.com and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler and Greg Dean on the call.
