Pierre Post 8 will quickly put the last two losses behind them as they open up the Gopher Classic on Friday with a pair of games against Fargo and Papillion South, Nebraska.
Pierre is guaranteed five games at the Gopher Classic from Friday to Sunday playing in the Mankato region. Both Friday and Saturday’s games will get under way at 4:30 followed by the final game of each night at 7:00. On Sunday, the Eights will play at 9:00 AM, the first game of the day against Mankato American to close out the pool. Pierre could play up to nine games with two on both Monday and Tuesday if they reach the championship game. 96 teams gather around the Twin Cities for the largest legion tournament in the country.

Coverage will begin around 4:10 on both Friday and Saturday on KCCR with Post 8 playing two games. Sunday’s game will start with coverage at 8:40 but will be on Capital City Rock, capitalcityrock.com but all games will be on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler and Greg Dean on the call.
