After Rainout, Pierre Trappers will Begin Series with Western Nebraska

Monday night and Tuesday morning’s rain brought the second postponement of the season for the Pierre Trappers as they were scheduled to open up a series with Western Nebraska. Beginning on Wednesday, Pierre will play three games in two days against the Pioneers.

The Trappers and Pioneers are scheduled for a doubleheader on Thursday with a 4:05 and 7:05 starts at Hyde Stadium. With the Trappers being at home for an extended period, General Manager, Kelcy Nash also announced the Trappers will be playing a doubleheader on Saturday against the Hastings Sodbusters, the other game rained out, all the way back at the beginning of the season at the end of May. Expedition League rules for doubleheaders are scheduled for seven inning games. While the day will bring 14 innings of scheduled baseball, it can help with pitching having six less outs to record, barring extra innings.

First pitch of the Trappers and Pioneers on Wednesday is scheduled for 7:05 at Hyde Stadium.
