PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will begin with the swearing in of Jamie Huizenga and Todd Johnson to new terms on the Commission. New assignments for Commissioners will also be made during special business. Commissioners will consider approval of a seven item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from the June 29th meeting, new hires in the Golf, Emergency Communications and Water Departments, a raffle request, wage adjustment and the claims. Only two items of new business await the Commission. Commissioners will consider a change order for the Airport Road project and will get an introduction to a Dwelling Rental Licensing and Inspection program. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM. The meeting is open to the public.
