FORT PIERRE — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League building in Fort Pierre. The Council will consider approval of the agenda and declare any conflicts of interest before hearing reports from city officials. The Council will introduce two ordinances, both of which are related to vacation home regulations in the city. Council members will set a public hearing for one of those ordinances and will consider 2021-2022 mobile home court licenses. The Council will also consider permit for a special fireworks display on July 24th near Drifters and will consider authorization to advertise for a street maintenance position. A chip sealing project and authorization to sign a West Nile Virus grant are also on the agenda. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at 6:30 PM.
