Pierre Trappers Pounded by Sabre Dogs

The Souris Valley Sabre Dogs scored 12 runs in the third inning while cruising to a 20-7 win over the Pierre Trappers on Wednesday night, taking the first two games of the series.

Ethan Moore went 4-6 and homered twice for the Sabre Dogs as he recorded seven RBIs in the ballgame including having two hits and three RBIs in the 12 run third inning. Pierre finished with three errors in the loss as only 11 of the 20 runs were earned against the Trapper pitching staff. Pierre’s Colin Adams, though, continues to swing a hot bat as he homered twice, both solo shots.

The Trappers and Sabre Dogs will finish the series in Minot on Thursday and the second half of the season will begin on Friday. First pitch is at 7:05 tonight.
