The first half of the season will come to a close after Thursday’s game but the Pierre Trappers will look for a strong finish in the first half, although eliminated from winning the division.
Pierre is in Minot for the second time this season facing the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs. The Sabre Dogs won all three games against the Trappers back on June 18-20. Pierre can play spoiler in the final series, if they sweep, they would give the potential of the Badlands Big Sticks a chance to overtake the Lewis division winning the first half of the season. Western Nebraska needs just one win over the course of the final three games to take the Clark Division as they are 22-7 on the year.
First pitch in Minot is at 7:05. The Trappers will begin the second half of the season on Friday in Sioux Falls before coming home for an eight game home stretch.
