PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will begin with two items of special business. Commissioners will hear about a Veteran’s Memorial run and Operation Zero Day and an overview of city ordinances relating to fireworks use ahead of the 4th of July holiday. Two public hearings are planned for 5:45 pm. The first is for a retail on/off sale malt beverage license while the second is a TEFRA hearing for project funding with the Oahe Family Y-M-C-A. In new business, Commissioners will consider two requests to bid and a request to purchase. The Commission will consider requesting bids for 2022 electric materials and earthwork for the Outdoor Pool project. Commissioners will also request to purchase a NIICE recorder for the E-911 fund. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM. The meeting is open to the community.
