Pierre Trappers Win Back to Back Games in Sioux Falls

The Pierre Trappers took it to the Sioux Falls Sunfish on Wednesday scoring eight times in the top of the sixth en route to an 11-1 win picking up back to back wins after a 10 game losing streak.

Everybody in the lineup had a hit and six of the nine recorded at least an RBI with Branden Cordes picking up three RBIs in the win. Pierre had 10 hits on the evening and nine of the 10 were singles as Eric Mast had the lone extra base hit in the ball. Pierre used a total of four pitchers on the night as Mason Torve threw six innings of shutout baseball allowing five hits, two walks and he struck two men picking up the win on the mound.

Pierre will be looking for the unconventional sweep on Thursday as the Trappers and Sunfish will play a single game at Hyde Stadium. Pierre will host the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks over the upcoming weekend.
