Eight members of the Oahe Capitals Hockey Association will be gearing up for Team South Dakota for the 2021-2022 season. The eight members are spread out over five South Dakota teams.
On the girls side, Alyssa Stahl, Ashton Lee and Olivia Swenson were all selected for the 19U team. It’s the most Capitals representatives on a single team for the next year. Brylee Kafka and Emily Nemec both will represent the Capitals on the 14U team and Sara Bierne will be the lone representative on the 16U team.
Jarron Beck and Carter Sanderson will both represent the Capitals as Beck will play on the 16U team this upcoming winter and Sanderson will again be on the 14U team.
Over the 2020-2021 season, four teams competed in the national tournament with three teams reaching bracket play and the Boys 16U team playing in the championship final.
